Laser Hair Removal: Permanent hair removal using the latest hair removal technology. Safe and effective. For many people, excess body hair is a big problem. Ultimate laser restoration is the solution.
Do you have unwanted or excessive hair growth? Where hair is clearly visible, such as the face, arms and legs, a final laser treatment is the solution to your unwanted hair growth. It works fast and is very effective. With just a few painless and safe treatments, your unwanted hair will disappear. Women have been looking for ways to remove body hair for centuries. We describe how women shed their legs, armpits and pubic area using sugar lotions dating back to the pharaonic era.
In the seventies, it was discovered that lasers used to treat veins caused reduced hair growth. Scientific studies have shown that diode lasers work best for permanent hair removal. Treatments using diode lasers have been specially developed for all skin types, from dark to very dark skin! Unlike the light used for IPL treatment, the laser has a single wavelength, so it can reach the roots located deeper in the skin with a higher output. The most important properties of lasers are the light’s unique wavelength and energy concentration.
Lasers for permanent hair removal use a type of light that is absorbed by the pigment beneath the hair follicle. It selectively heats hair follicles deep in the skin. Diode lasers deliver their energy in fractions of a second. The brief energy release time is just enough to destroy the hair follicle, and short enough not to cause damage to the surrounding skin structure and upper layers of the skin. A unique cooling system in the treatment head further protects the skin during diode laser energy release.
Hair growth is divided into three stages:
1. Growth period;
2. Retirement period;
3. Rest period.
The growing season is the growing season. Growth and pigmentation stops during catagen, when the hair is just pushed out of the follicle. The rest period is the rest period. The only one that can treat visible growing hair. This is hair in the growing phase. Loose, dormant, not yet visible hair does not absorb enough light to be treated effectively. Therefore, you will need several treatments. For best results, you will need an average of 5 to 8 treatments. You will see results after 2 to 4 weeks: some of the treated hair will start to loose and hairless areas will develop. You will know that treatment is effective for your situation and that it makes sense. You must not sunbathe or use a tanning bed for 4 weeks before and during treatment. If sun exposure is unavoidable, we recommend that you use a sunscreen with an SPF higher than 30.
40% of diode laser hair removal is used for body induction treatment.
After treatment by creating a lot of pigment (hyper-pigmentation), we recommend that you wait a month before sunbathing or going to a tanning bed. Therefore, in summer or during winter sports, you should cover your skin with clothing and use a sunscreen with an SPF of over 30 if exposing the treated area to the sun cannot be avoided. In addition, we recommend that you do not use tanning lotions for 2 weeks before and after 1 week, as they contain a substance that reacts to light. Those follicles that have formed will never grow back if they are effectively treated. You can count on hair loss of 80 to 90 percent.
Expecting 100% smoothness is unrealistic. Too bad we have hair follicles underneath, dormant or just producing glowing skin. They can activate changes later in our life due to hormones, for example during pregnancy, menopause, during drug use (antibiotics, hormonal preparations). This does mean that you will be free of unwanted body hair for years. It can happen to some people that the hair comes back, but never at the same density. In this case, you only need a small maintenance treatment.
It is absolutely possible to treat very dark skin. For very dark skin (dark skin) we first do a test with a very gentle setting on inconspicuous areas of the body, such as the back of the armpits. If the skin is well treated, we can do a second test with a higher setting.
At least 4 to 6 weeks before treatment, you need to stop waxing or hair removal, as the hair is needed to conduct effective heat inward. You also cannot remove hair or wax during treatment. However, shaving is allowed. On the day of treatment or the day before, you will need to shave the target area beforehand, preferably with a disposable laser. Don’t use razors and shaving systems, which will pull the hair out a little before, as the hair then sinks into the skin and therefore cannot be used to conduct heat. You should only shave for the first treatment so we can judge the target area and can make pictures to compare it with the final result.
